He’s been coaching since 1988, and has an experience of 29 years in the field. He has completed his FINA Levels 1,2,3 and the FINA Advance course. He has worked under two well renowned Australian Coaches; Mr.Rogsulana and Mrs. Anita Killmey for a period of 2 years each. He has participated in Swimming Tours and Tournaments in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore & India. His coaching achievements include producing about 25-30 National swimmers and 2 students that won Bronze medals at the SARF meets. He conducts private lessons while training squads at Wesley College, Ananda College and D.S. Senanayake College.

From 1979 onwards he has represented Sri Lanka at Swimming, winning the Gold Medal in the 1500m Freestyle at the Indo – Bangladesh – Sri Lanka Triangular Aquatic Meet of that year. In addition, in the same year, He was placed first in the 1500m Freestyle event at the Sri Lanka National Championships, and in the following year, 1980, was placed first in the Six (6) Mile Sea Swim, while setting a new record for this event.

Presently the Head coach of Rainbow Aquatics and the Director of the Rainbow Swimming Academy. He is 15-time SAF Gold Medalist. This happened over a decade ago for Sri Lanka, at four separate SAF Games - in 1984, 1987, 1989 and 1991. In addition to this, he is the only Sri Lankan swimmer to have participated in three Olympic games, first at Los Angeles (USA) in 1984, then at Seoul (South Korea) in 1988, and finally at Barcelona (Spain) in 1992. Julian is an expert at looking camp in photos. Their agency has had over 400 swimmers. He provides training and education for trainers and swim coaches. He does classes for learn how to swim kids and adults, conducts squad training and does aqua fitness for his pupils.
- Weekday’s 5am squad training happens
- Learn to swim classes are conducted every day except Monday 3pm to 6:30pm
- Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30 pm for adults learn to swim
- Weekends learning 8:30 am to 12 pm as well as afternoon.

He’s trained at JAIC Hilton for 13 years. His completed qualifications include American Level 1, FINA Level 1 & 2, Australia Swim Level Level 1 and NISS Level 1 & 2. He’s been coaching the Swimming Team of Royal College since 1999 and also coaches at Amabalangoda School starting form 2007. His training sessions include Squad 80 and Development Squad 30.

He has been coaching since 2003 and holds the position of Head Coach at Royal College and Oval Swim Academy. He has completed FINA level 1 & 2 and ASCA level 1 ASCTA. He coaches 90 students in the morning and 60 students in the evening. He conducts squad and all other swimming lessons. He has trained many national swimmers.

Joined us in the year 1986 with 30 years of experience in the field. He’s won the Championship title at all island meets for 12 years from 1996-2007. He’s been to West Germany to complete his level 1 beginners level qualification. He’s the former Head Coach of St. Thomas College Swimming Team, Mr.Philip Amarasinghe has also been part of the 1995 Minister of Education to Lahor Olympics Solitary Course and currently coaches the Swimming Team of Bishops College and Colombo South International School. He conducts all swimming lessons on Saturdays and Sundays. He also provides Under 9 – Under 11 Squad Training. Mr.Philip Amarasinghe takes pride in producing around 1000 – 10,000 swimmers.

He’s been on the coaching boat for a period of 17 years starting from the year 2000. He coaches the Swimming Teams of Alexandra College, Royal College and Regent International School- Gampaha. He’s trained for SARF meets and squad trains about 100 students. Mr. P.R.K. Dangalla also takes pride in providing 300 students for all swimming.

He’s the Assistant Coach at D.S Senanayake and qualifies in teaching swimming in sea and pools for life saving. He coaches about 20 students in total. He coaches at the Kinross Swimming and Life Saving Club. Mr. S.M. Chandrapala occasionally swims for his club in the 6 miles and 2 miles swimming.

He’s the former Head Coach of St. Thomas College Swimming Team(2000-2012), Holy Family Convent Bambalapitiya Swimming Team (2013-2016), Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa Swimming Team(2015-2017) and university of moratuwa swimming team(2015-2018).He’s holds the position of Head Coach at central college piliyandala (50M pool).
He has completed his FINA Levels 1,2and and the FINA Advance course. He has worked under two well renowned American Coaches; Mr. Guy Edson ,( Technical Director of American Swimming Coaches Association) AND Mr. Sergio López Miró for a period of 1 years each. He has participated in Swimming Tours and Tournaments in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore & India. His coaching achievements include producing about 25-30 National swimmers and 3 students that won Bronze medals at the SARF meets. He conducts private swimming squad training lessons while training squads at sri jayawardenapura university swimming pool (50M POOL) every Saturday & Sunday at 4pm-6.30pm.
